What's playing on my computer/iPod these days? Acoustic covers.
Right now, John Mayer's rendition of the Bruce Springsteen classic, "I'm on Fire," is at the top of the list. I could literally listen to this song (John's version as well as The Boss) all day. I'm also digging Bon Iver's "I Can't Make You Love Me" and James Vincent McMorrow's "Higher Love." Gotta love a new spin on classic songs! And I'm totally down with preserving the history of American popular music by taking us all back to a different time -- even if that time is just the 1980s/90s.
